Project work: an innovative approach that fuels students’ curiosity.
At Colégio Saint Daniel Brottier, children work on research projects covering a wide range of topics. During this time, students group themselves according to the subjects they wish to explore further and plan their research, always aiming for a presentation at the end of the project. This presentation details the development process and showcases a final product—which could be a book, a model, a poster, or even a film.
In the 2nd Cycle, we have already begun our project area sessions, and one of the groups decided to create a project about films. They will investigate various aspects of this theme, such as the types of films that exist, the steps required to make a movie, Hollywood’s most famous actors, trailers, and many other elements. The final product defined by the group? A film about films.
Next month, the students involved in this project will present what they have learned about cinematographic work to the entire school community.
